Roxby Roadsafe

The committee takes community road safety very seriously and raises issues of concern. The Committee have the following slogan.

Who Are We?


Roxby Road Safe is a subcommittee of the Roxby Downs Council. We include representatives from:

• Roxby Downs Police
• Local Emergency Services
• Council
• Community Board
• Department of Transport
• BHP Billiton
• And interested Community Members

We assist Council, the Department of Transport, and SA Police to implement improvements to road safety within the municipality of Roxby Downs.

 

Our Role


We:
• Assist and advise Council in developing policies, strategies and actions that result in improvements in road safety.
• Initiate activities and promotions that raise awareness of road safety in the community.
• Listen to and respond (where appropriate) to road safety concerns raised by the community.
• Rally community support to increase community awareness of road safety and other related issues.

 

Our Aims


To work with the community to:
• Reduce road trauma.
• Increase awareness of road safety issues.

 

How Can You Help?


• Tell us your concerns.
• Provide feedback.
• Join the committee.
• Be responsible road users.
• Teach your children about road safety.

When:    Second Thursday of the Month
Where:   Council Boardroom
Time:      5.30pm – 7.00pm
