The Friends of Arid Recovery is a volunteer organisation that supports the aims of Arid Recovery by encouraging and facilitating community involvement.

Committee meets monthly, member days at the Arid.
Recovery reserve monthly and working bees and other voluntary tasks at the reserve as needed communicated to members.

Relay for Life - Roxby Downs Town Oval 

Relay for Life is more than just a fundraiser.  It is an opportunity to get together with your community and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.

Rotary Club of Roxby Districts

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

We officially Charted as a club 'Rotary Club of Roxby District' on June 14th 2008 which is a first for Roxby Downs. We have members from Roxby, Woomera and Andamooka and are always looking for new members.
